Get into the world.
You'll need your own copy of Minecraft Bedrock. Java Edition is not supported.
Import both v0.5.1 packs
Download the
.mcaddonand open it with Minecraft. Wait for both packs to import and check both versions show 0.5.1.Create a fresh Flat world
Choose the classic grass, two dirt and bedrock layers. Enable Cheats, turn off the bonus chest and activate both Hood Mob — Behaviours and Hood Mob — Resources. Use simulation distance of at least four chunks.
Build your cities
Stand on the grass and enter this in chat:
/function hood/startKeep the world open and leave the land clear while it checks and builds. This expanded map can take a while. When it finishes, you start in Oakside with empty pockets. Visit Hood Couriers or Clean Streets to earn your first coins.

v0.5.1: the rich list gets a sidebar.
The top three Hood Coin balances now appear on a native sidebar scoreboard. Purchases, jobs, transfers and death losses update it automatically; offline leaders stay listed. The richest player's live coordinates are public, and gangs look for them more often in metropolis districts. Quiet civilian cities keep their existing resident rules. An offline leader has no live target marker.
Player kills cost 80% of your wallet, paid to the killer. NPC and environmental deaths cost 50%, removed from the game. With 100 coins, you keep 20 after PvP or 50 after another death. Whole-coin deductions round down.
Bigger, faster cars include a 600-coin G-Wagon. Hold use to keep an AK47 or Minigun firing; semi-automatic guns remain single-press weapons. Players have 40 HP, and overhead names are suppressed while bank names and the rich list remain available.
Buy a 75-coin parachute for a slow descent, or a 2,500-coin single-use bazooka for area damage without destroying blocks. Pubs sell beer, cider and whisky, with slowing and vision effects stated before purchase.
Banks offer free confirmed transfers to online players. The free Green Light timing arcade pays 3 coins per successful round, up to 9. Roulette has numbers 1–36 with no zero: each bet has an 18-in-36 chance and a 10-coin total payout on a 5-coin stake. No house edge.
New shop locations, banks and arcades need a fresh Flat world. Older completed layouts and car ownership stay intact. Interrupted older builds resume their original plans. Back up existing worlds before updating and verify both active pack versions.
Player combat requires Survival or Adventure mode and PvP enabled: /gamerule pvp true. If setup stops, run /function hood/status for the saved error and /function hood/start to resume.
Before you jump in
DEVELOPMENT BUILD FOR PLAYTESTING
Native Bedrock server 1.26.45.1 loads all 25 items and eight entity types, with no console content/script errors in the smoke run. The sidebar projection passed its native API check. Three outdated damage-sensor values have been corrected. 251 automated tests pass, covering gameplay rules, recovery, map reachability and the packaged script. Actual controller feel, sustained native gun input, visible name hiding, heart display and multiplayer performance still need a Minecraft client playtest.
Controls at a glance
Use labelled green shop tills. Use/right-click guns to shoot; hold for AK47/Minigun fire and reload cycles. Sneak + use reloads other guns. W/S or forward/back left stick drives and reverses; A/D or left/right left stick steers. Sneak exits your car. Coaches cost 2 coins.
Use a parachute while falling outside a car. It protects one descent for up to 60 seconds. The bazooka is consumed by its one shot; nearby enemies take damage, walls provide cover and blocks stay intact.
/function hood/help opens the guide. /function hood/leaderboard shows rankings; /function hood/bank and /function hood/arcade give directions.
Earn and send coins
Hood Couriers pays 6 coins for a completed delivery. Clean Streets pays 1 coin per litter piece; your saved job bag holds 20. The timing arcade has three rounds: click the same counter when the marker reaches green. Complete all rounds to collect your score, then wait 45 seconds to replay.
At a bank, choose an online player, enter a whole-coin amount and confirm the named recipient. Transfers have no fee. Wallets and rankings include offline balances; an offline richest account suspends the location bounty.
